Who curates The Krk Map, how a place gets on it, and how we keep it right.
Who makes it
Benjamin Haller, Host, Marim Luxury Villas
Runs Villa Marim in Stara Baška and Villa Manatis and Villa Moana in Vrbnik, and organises his guests’ days on the island. Tips marked “Benjamin’s tip” are his own.
Shaped by what our guests found and told us after their stays: 474 guests, 90 stays and 12 countries since June 2024, from our booking records.
How a place gets on the map
- Only places we would send our friends to.
- No place pays to be on it. If one of the people behind the map runs something on it, the card says so.
- We review every place ourselves before it goes on. Tips marked "Benjamin's tip" are his own, first-hand.
- Places marked "Tested by us" are ones we have been to ourselves: 38 so far. The list grows each season as we visit and test more places.
How we keep it right
- Every fact is checked against sources: official pages, maps and reviews. Each card shows when its facts were last checked.
- We write every line in our own words and never invent a name, a price or an opening time. What we cannot verify stays off the map.
- Every place is checked again before each season. Closed places come off the map.
Who we are
The Krk Map is made by Marim Luxury Villas, a family company that hosts guests in Stara Baška and Vrbnik. No place pays to be on it; partners and our curators’ own offers are marked. Our villas are shown only where the map says so, never in its lists or rankings.
