Hans and Angelika fell in love with Krk — the water, the silence, the way the light falls on the old town of Vrbnik in the evening. Eventually they asked themselves: what if they had their own place here?
They spent a long time looking for the right locations. Not a standard building plot — something extraordinary. The rock above the sea in Stara Baška. The olive grove in Vrbnik. When they found them, they worked with talented architects — but every decision was their own. Every room, every proportion, every material considered and reconsidered until it felt exactly right. And Hans, back in his workshop in Carinthia, built every piece of furniture by hand — the dining tables, the beds, the shelving, all of it. Nothing was bought from a catalogue.
Today the family runs all three villas itself and opens them to guests.
When Benjamin and Anna got married, there was only one place they considered. Villa Marim — the rock the family built together, above the Adriatic, with the sound of the sea below. The tables Hans made.
It was not a venue hire. It was their home. That distinction matters — because every guest who comes here is staying in a place that carries that same weight. It started as a wedding. That tells you what kind of place this is.
