Kvarner Bay shelters Krk from the open Adriatic, and in summer the sea here reaches about 25°C. Pine forests tumble to the shore. Olive groves older than memory line the inland valleys. The Žlahtina grape grows mostly in the Vrbnik field. Krk is busy in August, but away from the beach towns it keeps its villages, vineyards and quiet coves.

Krk lamb is slow-roasted on embers. The pasta is hand-rolled and finished with truffles from the Istrian interior, two hours away. Fish comes off the boat that morning.

Three villas, three different ways to exhale. The barrel sauna at Moana stands in the olive grove. The sauna and jacuzzi at Marim sit on the terrace above the sea. And sometimes the best therapy is simply floating in water warm enough to fall asleep in.

Most guests don't realise until they've booked: Krk is connected to the Croatian mainland by a bridge — no ferry, no schedule. You drive across. That changes everything, especially if you are arriving by car from Austria, Germany, or Slovenia.
Rijeka Airport is 30–45 minutes from the villas. It has direct summer flights from several European cities (check the current schedule). Zagreb Airport is 2.5 hours and serves year-round routes from most of Europe. If you prefer to drive, you are looking at 5 hours from Vienna and 6 from Munich — straight down the motorway, over the bridge, and you are here.
The one thing worth doing: arrange a private transfer from the airport. Arriving with luggage after a flight, and then navigating a new island by rental car in July, is a poor start to a holiday. We arrange transfers from all four airports. Your driver knows exactly where you are going.
