Tested by us We have been here ourselves.
White-pebble beach under tall yellow cliffs on the uninhabited coast west of Oprna; the cliffs give the name and the colour of the water. Reached by boat only. The cliffs are a griffon vulture nesting area. Best in the morning, before the afternoon wind makes anchoring uncomfortable.
Our tips
- Go early, before the afternoon wind builds.
- Look up at the cliffs for griffon vultures.
- Strong kayakers can paddle from Stara Baška on a calm morning: about 4–5 km each way along the cliffs.
- Bring everything: shade, water, food.
- Shared boat trips from Punat harbour stop here on their way along the Stara Baška cliffs, often with Fox Bay, Drenova or Plavnik; expect about EUR 45–50 per person (2026).
- For the calm morning hours, book a private boat with a skipper from Punat: some shared trips leave only after lunch.
- A guided full-day sea-kayak tour from Punat to Stara Baška passes this beach.
- Bring a mask and snorkel: the water under the cliffs is very clear.
Good to know
- No land access.
- No shade or facilities.
- Exposed to wind in the afternoon.
- Sit away from the foot of the cliffs.
- Boat trips are cancelled in strong wind.
