Honey Hill (OPG Cvitanović), roadside honey on the Stara Baška road

Tested by us We have been here ourselves.

Honey Hill (OPG Cvitanović) is a roadside honey farm on road 5125 (Starobašćanska, Klančić 55). Jadranko Cvitanović has kept bees since 1989 and has about 100 hives in four apiaries; the one near Punat gives sage honey (kaduljin med) and sometimes heather honey. He sells sage, forest (medun), acacia, lime, flower and creamed honey, comb honey, medica honey brandy, propolis, pollen and beeswax candles, and his sage honey has won gold medals (2015, 2017).

Our tips

  • Buy the sage honey: it comes from his Krk apiary. The acacia and chestnut come from his mainland apiaries near Duga Resa, and the meadow honey from Tounj.
  • Also try the medica (honey rakija) and the creamed honey for kids.
  • Opens at 10:00 (2026). The family shop is on the ground floor of the house (Klančić 55), and he also sells at the apiary.

Good to know

  • Not every jar is island honey: ask which apiary it's from.
