A path of about 5 km from the 1930s through pine forest along the shore from the old Haludovo hotel in Malinska to Njivice, with dozens of small rocky coves in real tree shade and a naturist section on the way; dogs are welcome. A strong choice if you want shade and no crowds. The pin marks the naturist (FKK) section halfway along.
Our tips
Start at Bar Paradajz, about 50 m from the paid car park by the old Haludovo hotel, and walk until you find an empty cove.
The coves are natural rock: water shoes and a mat help.
Bikes are allowed but must take a higher detour halfway.
Pack water and food: apart from the bar at the start, there is nothing to buy along the path.
With a dog, use the dog beaches at either end: Ribarsko selo at the Malinska end, and a small pine-shaded one near Kijac at the Njivice end.
Parking at the Malinska start is paid in high season and usually free outside it.
Good to know
Rocky entries.
The Omišalj oil terminal is in view towards Njivice.
The naturist stretch is informal: the path itself is a public promenade.
