An inland konoba in a restored stone cottage (opened 2011) with a fireplace and a vine terrace; the name means 'under the elm'. Peka of lamb, veal or octopus needs a day's notice. Also gnocchi with goulash, homemade sausages and steak with chard potatoes; the olive oil is their own and the digestif is on the house.
Our tips
- Call the day before to order peka (lamb, veal or octopus) and confirm the price per portion when you book.
- Buy their olive oil on the way out.
- Pair it with a sunset at Glavotok.
- Try the brudet (fish stew) if it is on.
- Finish with the baked curd pancakes with cinnamon and raisins, the house dessert.
- Order the lamb: the family raises its own, served roast with potatoes or as šurlice with lamb stew.
- In the cooler months, ask for a table by the stone fireplace.
- With about 45 seats inside and 45 in the garden, it suits a larger group; book ahead.
