The pool is the centrepiece. But after a day, guests start to explore what else is possible. Here is an honest account of what we arrange for guests — and how each experience actually works.
Private Chef Dining
We arrange a private chef who cooks at all three villas. You agree the menu before arrival — or we suggest one based on what is fresh that week.
A typical dinner: škampi to start, šurlice pasta (hand-rolled, unique to Krk) with truffle sauce, grilled Krk lamb, local cheeses and olive oil. The meal is cooked in the villa kitchen and served on the terrace or in the dining room — wherever you prefer.
Price varies by menu and number of guests — contact us for a quote. We recommend it at least once during any stay.
Boat Trips and the Marim Jetski
From Villa Marim in Stara Baška: we have a jetski available for guests. Like any motorised craft in Croatia, it must be driven by someone with a licence, so ask us how it works. The village harbour is a few minutes’ walk from the villa.
For a full boat day, we arrange a charter with a local captain. Day trips to Cres, Lošinj, or a slow circumnavigation of the south coast stopping at coves as you choose. You agree the route in the morning. The captain knows every bay on this coastline.
Self-drive boat rental is also available from the harbour in Stara Baška. Every motorboat in Croatia, however small the engine, must be driven by someone with a boat licence: “no licence needed” offers are not legal, and the fine (€265–664) falls on the renter. Choose a skippered boat, or drive yourself if you hold a licence; ask us. We give guests specific cove coordinates rather than general directions.
Vespa Routes — Villa Moana
Villa Moana includes a Vespa scooter in the rental price. The coast road north of Vrbnik at sunrise is our first recommendation — 20 minutes of road with no traffic, sea to the right, the hills of Krk to the left, and the best morning light on the island.
Other recommended routes: a long ride down to Stara Baška and Zala Beach via Punat, there and back (half a day), the Vrbnik wine valley loop (45 minutes), and the ride to Krk Town and its Frankopan castle by the harbour (30 minutes each way; the castle’s official hours are 9:00–15:00, closed on Sundays).

In-Villa Massage
We work with a massage therapist who visits the villa — you choose the room or the terrace.
Sessions of 60 to 90 minutes; we handle the booking when you confirm your dates. Available at all three villas. Book early in peak season.
Wine Cellar Visits in Vrbnik
For guests at Villa Moana and Villa Manatis, we arrange tastings at Vrbnik’s cellars: Katunar Estate on the road into the village, where we buy the welcome wine for the villas, or Kuća vina Ivan Katunar in the village, whose full tasting pours seven wines with a board of local ham and cheese. Both are within walking distance of the villas.
You can buy bottles directly at the cellar.
Custom Island Excursions
Beyond the water and the villas, we coordinate the following for guests who want to go further:
- Guided half-day in Krk Town — Roman walls, Frankopan Castle, Cathedral. We recommend a local guide rather than doing it alone; the layers of history are not obvious without someone who knows them.
- Drive to Beli on Cres — the griffon vulture colony there is extraordinary. A day trip — ferry from Valbiska on the western side of Krk, then the road north on Cres to Beli. Quiet, completely different from Krk.
- Truffle hunting near Motovun, Istria — about two hours’ drive from Krk via the Učka tunnel. In the white-truffle season (September to December), hunts with trained dogs run in the Motovun forest and end with a tasting; ask us and we will help you book one.
We coordinate everything — you simply tell us what sounds right. Most requests come in after arrival, once guests have settled in and started looking at the map.
