1. Restaurant Nada — Vrbnik

Nada is Vrbnik’s best-known restaurant: family-run since 1974, with its own Žlahtina wines and a terrace high on Vrbnik’s cliff, looking east across the Vinodol Channel to the mainland (listed in Gault&Millau Croatia 2026). Gault&Millau singles out the seafood šurlice (mussels, clams, scampi and scallops) and the sea bream.
Žlahtina is an indigenous white grape of the Kvarner, grown mostly in the Vrbnik field, the vineyard valley behind the village. Nada makes its own, so order a glass of the house Žlahtina with the fish.
2. Olive Garden Ulika Maslinik — Punat

Set inside a working olive grove on the road to Punat, Ulika is worth the 20-minute drive from Vrbnik. The grilled lamb with their own olive oil is one of the best dishes on the island. A completely different mood from Nada — quieter, more rustic, surrounded by century-old trees.
3. Volsonis — Krk Town

Volsonis is built into Roman remains just off Krk Town’s main square. Behind it lies a candle-lit garden with live music on most summer evenings. The cocktail list is genuinely creative for a small island bar. Good for an evening if you've spent the day exploring Krk Town's medieval streets and cathedral. Volsonis is open all year; in winter it moves indoors, to a room with a fireplace.
4. Punta di Galetto — Krk Town

A relaxed beachside restaurant on the waterfront at Krk Town, open in summer, roughly May to September. The vibe is casual — come in after a swim, order grilled fish and a cold drink. Good for a long, relaxed lunch with children — the waterfront setting means kids can wander while adults linger over wine.
5. Restaurant Mariana — Stara Baška

If you're staying at Villa Marim, this restaurant is a few minutes’ walk away along the harbour. Its big terrace above the harbour has the best sunset seats in the village. Keep it simple: a drink at sunset and fried calamari. Out of season, ask us which restaurants in the village are still open.

If you would rather eat by your own pool, we arrange a private chef in all three villas. The menu is built around what's available locally that week: Krk lamb, šurlice pasta, fresh Adriatic seafood, Peka slow-cooking. Ask us when you book and we'll coordinate everything.

What is Žlahtina wine?
Žlahtina is an indigenous white grape of the Kvarner, grown mostly in the Vrbnik field on Krk Island. The wine is dry, light, and mineral — ideal with seafood. Taste it at Restaurant Nada or at a Vrbnik cellar such as Katunar Estate on the road into the village, Kuća vina Ivan Katunar or Gospoja.
