In July, Antički dani brings gladiators to Roman Fulfinum (17–18 July in 2026). In August: Baška's Fishermen's Days on the first weekend (held since 1910), the Lovrečeva fair in Krk Town on 8–10 August, and the Vrbnik Wine Days late in the month (21–22 August in 2026).

When are the Vrbnik Wine Days?

In late August, on dates that move each year: 29–30 August in 2025 and 21–22 August in 2026. The festival has a wine and local-products fair from 19:00, concerts and, in 2026, a Saturday Wine Walk through six cellars, with places that needed registration in advance.

What is the Lovrečeva fair in Krk Town?

Lovrečeva turns Krk Town into a fair for three days around St Lawrence's day (8–10 August in 2025 and 2026), going back to a permission granted in 1524: about 40 craft and food stalls, a medieval procession of the Frankopan nobles and free concerts every night. Parking is hard during the fair, so walk in from the outer car parks.

Are there free concerts on Krk in summer?

Yes: Vrbnik's summer programme is free, with concerts at 21:00 every Wednesday in July and August, and the Lovrečeva fair has free concerts every night. For traditional music, tanac dancing and klapa, go to Triola Kamplin Fest on Kamplin Square in Krk Town on a Tuesday evening, from late June to August.

What events are there on Krk in October?

Olives: Punat's Olive Days (the 30th edition, 9–11 October 2026) and Olive Touch in Malinska, four Saturdays of olive picking, a visit to an old olive mill and an oil tasting (10:00–14:00, EUR 40 per adult, half price under 12, 2026).

Vrbnik Wine Days (Žlahtina festival), late August

Vrbnik's celebration of Žlahtina, with a wine and local-products fair from 19:00 and concerts. In 2026 (20th edition) it ran 21–23 August: a Friday tasting at Vinotel Gospoja, a Saturday 'Wine Walk' through six cellars, and the fair evenings on Saturday and Sunday. Dates move: 29–30 August in 2025.

Our tips

  • The 2026 Wine Walk visited PZ Vrbnik, Ivan Katunar House of Wine, Katunar Estate, Gospoja, Nada and Šipun from morning until 18:30.
  • On the Friday in 2026, Vinotel Gospoja held a serious tasting of 14 Kvarner wines (17:00): the one for wine lovers.
  • Headline concerts start late (about 23:00).
  • Wine Walk places are limited and need registration in advance (2026 via online form).

Lovrečeva - Krk Fair (8–10 August)

Event · Krk Town

Three days around St Lawrence's day when Krk Town becomes a fair, going back to a permission granted in 1524. About 40 craft and food stalls, a medieval procession of the Frankopan nobles, workshops and free concerts every night.

Our tips

  • In 2026 the procession left on Saturday 8 August at 20:30 through town to Kamplin, followed by the opening at 21:00 and a fire show at 21:30.
  • Free English storytelling walk 'Od krša do zlata' with castle entry (2026: 8 and 10 August, 19:30, from Trg krčkih glagoljaša); places are limited, so register at info@visitkrk.city or +385 51 220 226.
  • Food zones at Ribarski mul, Krušija and Škverić: šurlice and roast lamb.
  • Big Croatian headliners play the riva late (2026: Magazin, Prljavo kazalište) - families may prefer the early-evening crafts.

Baška Fishermen's Days (first weekend of August)

Event · Baška

Held since 1910: a boat parade, a fishermen's procession to Vela plaža where a net is ceremonially pulled from the sea, games, a children's fishing school, concerts and fireworks (2026: 31 July-2 August; free in 2025).

Our tips

  • In 2025 it opened with the tanac dance to sopile music (KD Šoto).
  • Free sunset boat rides during the boat parade (2025).
  • On the Sunday a boat runs out to the little Buymer fishing museum in Vela Luka (2025 and 2026).

  • Same weekend as Punat's and Njivice's fishermen nights - pick one.

Olive Touch - olive picking Saturdays in Malinska (October)

Four Saturdays in October 2026 (10, 17, 24 and 31), 10:00–14:00: a tourist train from Malinska, olive picking at a family farm in Porat, a visit to Bogovski toš (the largest old olive mill in Dubašnica), oil tasting and local bites at DUBoak. EUR 40 per adult, half price under 12.

Vrbnik summer: Wednesday concerts, Vrbenske uzance, village feasts

Vrbnik's free summer programme is small and local: 'Srijedom u Vrbniku' concerts at 21:00 every Wednesday in July–August at a different square or beach, plus feast days and one old-town 'back to the past' evening.

Antički dani - Roman days at Fulfinum (July)

Two evenings in July when the Fulfinum-Mirine site fills with more than fifty costumed actors: gladiator fights, Roman daily life, potters, blacksmiths, herbalists and tailors at work, and a wooden carousel for small children (2026: 17–18 July; free entry in 2025, from 19:00).
